In our case, opportunity came in an unexpected form. A failed online business venture in New Zealand that seemed like “the end”. But eventually led to a whole new way of life.
By learning from the experience of failure – and then grasping the opportunities it presented us with – we have been able to create a new beginning.
We now live a life of slow travel. Basing ourselves in places where we can embrace living with locals and show up as global citizens. We travel light, live simply, and practice being present for each other as often as possible.
These choices give us the space and time to build on the knowledge and skills we developed earlier to work online and be location independent.
Our two young children are discovering something new every day, and we have the joy of sharing all our experiences together as a location independent, worldschooling family.
