8 Amazing Things to do in Antalya with Kids

There are so many things to do with kids in Antalya, Turkey. Visit a different theme park daily, enjoy gorgeous waterfalls and explore vast coastlines. We stayed for seven nights and did something different every day. Stay tuned to learn about some of the fab things to do in Antalya with kids!

1. Check out the Duden Waterfalls (on the coast)

The Duden waterfalls in Antalya are an incredible place for a fun and free afternoon or day out with the kids. There are actually two Duden waterfalls in Antalya. The one we’re talking about here is the one on the coast, near Lara beach.

We were all impressed with the power and beauty of this coastal waterfall. Walk along the extensive coastal path to see it in all its glory, and be sure to enjoy the area while you are there.

You’ll find playgrounds, cafes with playgrounds, fitness equipment, green space, a skate park nearby, and even a bouncy castle playground. There was plenty to keep us here the whole afternoon, and there was no entry fee (except for the bouncy castles). We definitely recommend it if you are looking for things to do in Antalya with kids.

2. Visit the inland Duden waterfalls

The other Duden waterfalls in Antalya (the inland ones) exceeded my initial impressions. At first glance, the waterfalls didn’t seem to be overly impressive. But what’s special about these ones is that you can walk through a cave and behind the waterfall -very awesome!

There’s a small entry fee for the waterfall, plenty of picnic benches, and well-maintained paths. When you exit the waterfall area, you can enjoy a drink on the water’s edge and admire the power of the rushing water.

3. Masal park – near the inland Duden waterfalls

If you’ve got a little time to fill in after visiting the inland Duden waterfalls in Antalya, young kids might enjoy visiting Masal park. It’s basically a normal free park with playground equipment and also cartoon statues and houses.

The kids will enjoy exploring, taking photos, and having a runaround. It’s maybe not a destination on its own, but it’s only six minutes drive from the Duden waterfalls, so it’s worth a visit if you’re in the area.

4. Explore Antalya’s old town

Antalya’s old town is a charming area to spend the day. Enter through the impressive archway at Hadrian’s gate, or drive down to the harborfront and meander up the hill from there. There is also a free glass elevator that will take you up and down!

Take a boat trip or just hang out on the water’s edge and then explore the gorgeous alleyways and shops up the hill. There is also a toy museum, which is apparently free. Our kids were very excited to visit, but we were there on a Monday… Which appears to be the only day it is closed!

Overall, it’s a beautiful place to explore and hang out, and we definitely recommend it for your itinerary of things to do in Antalya with kids.

5. spend time at Park Funtastic

Park Funtastic is a great place to take the littles in Antalya. There is no entry fee at this fun park; you just pay for what you do. All up, we spent 175lira (about $12USD) for a few hours of fun!

Definitely check out the mountain coaster and enjoy zooming around the forest. There’s an adult’s go-karting track and also a kid’s version. The kids can operate diggers or play in the dedicated kids’ area with trampolines, bouncy castles, and a giant slide.

The park has a high ropes course which we didn’t do because Ayla wasn’t tall enough, and a big zip line that we definitely would have tried if we had arrived a little earlier. You can go for an ATV ride through the park, and there are other water-based activities to enjoy there in the warmer months.

6. Aktur park in konyaalti

Aktur Park is a fun theme park in Konyaalti, Antalya. It’s open every day from 2 pm, and fun is on offer for the whole family.

There are plenty of rides for the little ones. Romy even went on her first roller coaster! The girls both enjoyed the big Ferris wheel and jumping on the trampolines. Ayla enjoyed some of the bigger kids’ rides even if she was disappointed she couldn’t go on all the ones she wanted to. Some of them had age restrictions such as 12 or even 15 years.

This is another park where you just pay for what you go on. You get a swipe card and a package of credits. The bigger the package, the more free credits you get. We used the same card for the whole family and spent 350tl for at least three hours of fun! We’d definitely recommend a visit to Aktur Park as one of the fun things to do with kids in Antalya.

7. Hang out at konyaalti beach

Konyaalti Beach is a fab place to hang out in Antalya. It’s a huge beach! It takes about an hour just to walk from one side to the other, and the paved beach paths are perfect for wheels.

There is a wide range of cafes, some of which are set up as coworking cafes. And there’s an adventure park in the forest area just behind the beach. For the little kids, there are playgrounds all along the grass area behind the beach.

8. Visit dino park (great for under 10’s)

Dino Park is a fun place for young kids just outside Antalya. It’s not a big kids’ park, but I reckon most under 10’s and dinosaur enthusiasts would enjoy it.

There are a few dinosaurs the kids can climb on, but most of them are not for touching. They do move and make dinosaur sounds when you go near them!

The park isn’t huge; you probably need about two hours or so to enjoy it at a leisurely pace. There are some farm animals in cages, which we weren’t impressed about – we generally skip those places when we know about them.

The kids enjoyed jumping on the trampolines and especially enjoyed the playground, which was an obstacle course style.

Previous reviews told me that the park is $25USD per person for tourists, which is very overpriced. However, we have our residency cards, so we knew the price would be much lower. We paid 136tl for two people (more like $10 for both of us), and Romy was free.

Things to do in Antalya with kids | In conclusion

There was plenty we couldn’t fit in during our visit to Antalya. We visited in February, and the mountain cable car is closed until March. There are several water parks you can opt to visit if you’re traveling in summer. Because it’s a big city with so much to do, it’s also a fantastic winter destination.

There are a couple of big Antalya attractions for kids that I didn’t mention. First, there’s a huge, impressive aquarium in Konyaalti. Second, there’s the Land of Legends theme park.

Both would provide entertainment for kids and adults alike. However, I personally choose not to support aquariums, zoos, or places that use animals for entertainment. (As I mentioned above, I wasn’t aware of the caged animals at Dino Park before we went). The Land of Legends looks like a brilliant theme park, but I saw they have dolphin shows, so we gave it a miss.
